SPACE conducted a one-day workshop on LINUX system administration on May 4 2012 for government employees of Institute of Management in Government (IMG), Trivandrum. The major topics covered in the training include desktop management, command line, troubleshooting, connectivity, etc. 14 men and 13 women attended the training session.

SPACE conducted a two day workshop on ICT and New Media with the support of Student Christian Movement of India, Kerala region at St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry on May 3 and 4, 2012. 15 students, predominantly boys, participated in the workshop. The students were trained in various Internet tools and applications. The students were also trained in content management systems so as to help them publish their own content on the web.

SPACE conducted a one day workshop at Govt. Polytechnic, Trikaripur on 20.01.12. SPACE introduced Python's capabilities and alternatives in FOSS against proprietary software.

A two day workshop was conducted for students of Younus College of Engineering and Technology,Kollam students from 26-27 September 2011. Fifty students (including 30 girls) participated in the workshop held to introduce them to PHP and Drupal.

25 women students of the Government College of Teacher Education, Thiruvananthapuram participated in a two day workshop on ICT and New Media. The workshop, among a series aimed at equipping women students in ICT and New Media, was conducted from 22-23 September 2011.
