PACE is conducting GNU/Linux system administration course for teachers of various engineering colleges. Course is conducted in association with Department of Information technology, Government Engineering College, Barton Hill, Trivandrum and sponsored by Director of Technical Education, Kerala. Around 23 teachers from around the state participated in 15 day course actively.

SPACE together with Govt. Engineering College, Barton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram organized a one day training programme for Kudumbashree IT Units in Koha - a Free Software Library Management Software. Dr. Gopakumar, Head, Department of Information Technology, shared his experiences in implementing KOHA in the department library and College library.

SPACE in association with Kerala State IT Mission conducted a seminar on Free Software for Kerala Development on the 23rd of August. Hon. Chief Minister Sri. V.S. Achuthananthan inaugurated the seminar, and Richard Stallman, founder of the GNU project and free software movement delivered the keynote address.
