SPACE organized a talk on Asterisk - The Software PBX by Mr. Raj Mohan. who has been working on various PBX platforms for the past 6 years and is currently associated with SPACE. The talk was held at the Institute of Engineers hall, Vellayambalam on the 1st of August Asterisk is a Free/Open Source, fully digital implementation of the traditional PBX, with numerous powerful features.

Web for all - Your Place in Cyber SPACE

SPACE jointly with Akshaya project of Kerala State IT Mission is organizing a series of events to train local organizations on content building and knowledge archival. The first programme to train the master trainers was held at Malappuram, where the master trainers got hands on training in building websites with content management systems like Wordpress.

Alakal find its space in cyberspace

Alakal - waves in Malayalam and Tamil - is the first exclusive community radio initiative in India for fisherfolk. It has started daily three hour experimental narrowcast on 1st May 2006 at coastal radio clubs located at three fish landing centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It covers people from 15 villages who come to these centres to buy and sell fish.
