Building Community newsletters with Free Software

SPACE organized a two day workshop on "Building Community Newsletters with Free Software" at Vasudeva Smaraka Library, Chemaniod, Malappuram. The programme focused on building and organizing content for a newsletter, typesetting it and publishing it online with the help of free software. The tools used were Openoffice.org with Rachana font and School GNU/Linux.

Online HelpDesk @ SPACE

Space has launched an online help desk for addressing technical issues in Debian GNU/Linux based systems. All the common problems are listed in the FAQ section. The site, http://support.space-kerala.org is open to all for viewing, but posting queries is permitted only for registered users. Presently, we are giving registration and support to all IT@School Master Trainers and VMEs interested in using/promoting Free Software. All the queries posted will be periodically added to the FAQ section for public viewing.
