"Urjasamrakshanam", a portal on energy conservation developed by Green Energy Trust and SPACE was launched on 30 October 2008 by Dr.N.S Ramaswamy, Founder-Director, IIM Bangalore.
Contemporary debates on energy and nuclear energy in particular, have evoked strong views from the public. The views are often expressed without clear understanding of energy options. "Urjasamrakshanam" was launched targeting students to raise awareness on energy concepts, sources and need for conservation. The portal offers support to students to develop projects on energy and water conservation. It also provides links to similar websites, poster downloads, profiles of renowned scientists among others.
