Students of Social work department of Sankara University underwent a one-day training on the strategic use of ICT. The students were given orientation on the possibilities of new media. The sessions of the day mainly focused on the concept of internet/world wide web. The students were also introduced to tools like reader softwares, rss feeds, social book marking etc. It is the first of the series of training to be conducted with the same group.
After finishing the series of training, it is expected that students will be capable of serving as master trainers. Students from other departments of the university will be given basic ICT awareness by the newly trained master trainers.
