GEM workshop in April 2009

SPACE will organise a workshop on Gender Evaluation Methodology from April 6-9, 2009 in Thiruvananthapuram.

Gender Evaluation Methodology or GEM as referred to by practitioners was developed by

Association for Progressive Communications Women's Networking Support Programme (APC WNSP) to integrate gender analysis into the evaluations of Information and Communication technology (ICT) initiatives. GEM is guided by a framework that looks into whether ICTs create or maintain social change. 

Angela Kuga Thas, GEM Coordinator and Anupama Saxena, Head, Department of Political Science and Public Administration & in charge Director of Women's Studies and Development Centre of Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur will be the chief resource persons.

The workshop is open to women organisations, researchers and others interested in Gender and ICT.  Last date for confirmation of participation is 4 March 2009.
