Deliverables

The proposed deliverables under the program for the first two years are provided below:

Year 1 :

  • The four cells (VME Services, Consultancy, Technology, and Outreach) set up
  • A GNU/Linux distribution for the educational sector developed
  • A Central FLOSS Centre of Excellence (FCE) and four other FCEs in selected Engineering Colleges set up
  • Promotional meeting in 10 Engineering Colleges convened
  • Three prototype applications, of mass-use potential, developed and made available
  • Training content developed
  • Repository of FLOSS products set up, consisting of software of relevance to Kerala
  • A conference on FLOSS convened

Year 2:

  • Ten more FCEs set up, covering all districts on Kerala
  • Three more prototype created
  • An official Malayalam Distribution developed
  • Malayalam OCR system developed
  • Cyber security cell set up
