SPACE organized a two day workshop on "Building Community Newsletters with Free Software" at Vasudeva Smaraka Library, Chemaniod, Malappuram. The programme focused on building and organizing content for a newsletter, typesetting it and publishing it online with the help of free software. The tools used were Openoffice.org with Rachana font and School GNU/Linux. It was the first programme in the line of events SPACE wished to organize with Public Libraries in Perumthalmanna, Malappuram.
