The 35 students of the 3rd year BSW programme of Rajagiri School of Social Work got to check their skill level and were able to learn further with World Wide Web. The two-day training SPACE conducted at Rajagiri Campus mainly trained the students to build websites, besides exposing them to the possibilities of new media in the profession of social work.

Students of Social work department of Sankara University underwent a one-day training on the strategic use of ICT. The students were given orientation on the possibilities of new media. The sessions of the day mainly focused on the concept of internet/world wide web. The students were also introduced to tools like reader softwares, rss feeds, social book marking etc. It is the first of the series of training to be conducted with the same group.

SPACE undertook a 2-day training on web based media from June 14th to 15th for the members of Openframe ,a film society and ngo based in Payyanur,Kerala.
On 8th June 2008, Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, V S Achuthanandan inaugurated the state wide campaign for Malayalam computing. Honourable Minister for Vigilance and Tourism Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Honourable Minister for Health P K Srimati Teacher, A P Abdullakutty MP, Shri K Sudhakaran M L A, other elected representatives, officials and public participated in the public function held at Kannur Dinesh Auditorium.
