12 March 2009: A sixty-day soft skills development and English language communication course begins at Insight today. Insight has been addressing the ICT skill development needs of the visually challenged in Kerala since May 2007. 25 January 2009: A demonstration workshop on ila was held at Media Study Center, Kozhikode. The workshop included sessions on 'Introduction to new media' by Dr. Mahesh Mangalat (Lecturer in Malayalam, Mahatma Gandhi Government Arts College, Mahe), 'Role and relevance of Ila' by Chinju and Indu (SPACE), 'Blog and citizen journalism' by Prinson (SPACE). Dr.Mahesh Mangalat also explained how to type in Malayalam. This was followed by a question and answer session. Media students and representatives of little magazines in Malappuram attended the workshop.
